Tom Vogan

Co founder/director of Energy Farmers Australia, Tom grew on a farm near Lancelin. Since studying Mechanical Engineering at UWA and graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering. Tom has worked in the mining industry as an Engineer and Project Manager in construction and maintenance of heavy engineering plants for 11 years. More recently Tom has spent 6 years working for a large engineering consultancy gaining experience in feasibility studies and project development.

Through his construction experience, Tom has gained experience in fabricating, constructing and commissioning process plants. In addition, Tom’s recent experience has provided him with a good understanding of the requirements for project development including environmental, technical and economic project drivers.

Tom believes that there are vast opportunities to become more sustainable through smarter use of resources and reduction of waste and likes to quote Arthur C. Clarke: “wastes are only raw materials we’re too stupid to use”.

Tom has taken a personal interest in renewable energy and waste-to-energy processes, investigating a number of potential opportunities and has a desire get involved in the renewable energy industry. Tom lives in Perth with his wife and two children.

Euan Beamont

Originally a farmer from Mullewa, Western Australia, Euan is the other co-founder of Energy Farmers Australia.

Euan holds a degree in Agribusiness, a diploma in Farm Management and has over 20 years experience in agriculture. Euan leases his farm to local farmers from Mullewa and takes a keen interest in the West Australian agriculture industry. He has also travelled and worked throughout the world in various logistic and construction roles with the French aid organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres or Doctors without Borders.

Euan has experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, public relations, marketing and international logistics.

Throughout the journey Euan has developed strong relationships in the WA agriculture community and a good understanding of the Australian biochar and carbon industries. Always passionate about the land and environment, Euan believes that integrating biochar into Australian food production systems will lead to more sustainable communities.

Jason Stacey

Originally from Perth, Jason now resides in the Mid West. With 18 years in fabrication, he began as a Sheetmetal Worker and transitioned to heavy projects in mining, resources and energy. In roles such as Workshop Leading Hand and FIFO Boilermaker, he cultivated relationships, refined skills, and prioritized safety. Having collaborated with Energy Farmers for a number of years, Jason recently joined the team on a full-time basis as Production Manager contributing his expertise and dedication to their shared vision of a sustainable future.
