In reply to <a href="https://www.energyfarmers.com.au/2016-poultry-litter-biochar-trials/#comment-9121">Phil Blom</a>.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the mail...sounds very interesting what you are doing. The industry is in its infancy in Australia with not much uptake, hence the need to do trials to prove the benefits. I'm having a look a your website as we speak. Probably wont make the conference but would be good to get stateside and see what you guys are doing one day.

Regards Euan

Thanks for sending the report, please review our home page and click JR Bollinger Farms, Down the wormhole write up. We are using biologicals and trace mineral, with very good results. We also have built a 40,000 input biomass plant recently in WA state. It will produce 10,000 tonnes of Terra Char tm (Biochar) , 10-12M Btu's of energy per hr and 250,000 gallon of wood vinegar. We can use wheat straw, nut hulls, bagasse as well.

We use Terra char in the animal confinement operations, particularly poultry in with the bedding/20% Terra char, now we have have a carbon/organic nitrogen. This is becoming a large market for Terra right now.

Be glad to visit more sometime, hope you can make the U.S. Biochar conference in August in Oregon
