About Us

Energy Farmers Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company located in Geraldton, Western Australia. We are developing pyrolysis technology that will convert organic waste into heat and biochar. We plan to partner with stakeholders to design and develop bioenergy systems that recover the energy from waste and use it to meet onsite power requirements.

Our Vision

Our vision is farmers using their wastes to drive sustainable bioenergy projects. Using a price on carbon as the driver and agricultural crop residues as the feedstock, these stations will produce bioenergy, beneficial by-products such as biochar and ultimately biofuels with benefits being returned to farmers and rural communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the pathways between biomass resources and bioenergy technology and help integrate biochar into Australian farming systems.

Our Objectives

Energy Farmers immediate objective is to establish its first bioenergy station to demonstrate its viability and to act as a platform for expansion. As our capacity grows we will investigate and invest in emerging technologies to provide bioenergy solutions for the agriculture industry.

Our Beliefs

  • Energy Farmers believes we must rethink our use of energy and invest in low or zero emission energy alternatives to avoid the impact of global warming. We also believe farms have an enormous untapped potential to generate and sell sustainably produced energy, fuels and diversification into energy production can enhance local energy security and generate new income streams for farmers.
  • Linking local production and consumption of electricity and fuels will bring significant benefits to rural communities. These include sustainable economic development, jobs, enhanced farm viability, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and resilient communities.
